I am utilizing my therapy skills to redefine our household roles. Splitting tasks in half doesn’t work anymore (ie I do all the dishes and my husband does all the laundry. Now we have to figure out how to split these tasks on a micro level even more.) I’m also no longer allowing myself to pile all the management responsibilities on myself. For example, if I am bad at long term management of bills then I will hand them over to my partner and focus on managing the day to day responsibilities which he has trouble with. I do not need to do everything alone.
Yes! Daniel and I continue to refine our division of household tasks too. It shifts from week to week, and season to season, but that's a big part of my goal #8 - to set up systems and put things in writing of everything that needs to be done around the house so i'm not constantly trying to remember what needs to be done and doing it myself simply because Daniel doesn't even know the task exists.
